Empathy+Streaming=Cultural Understanding

I think the widespread cultural understanding in music comes from the help of shared empathy of the listeners and streaming services combined. I would not say that one factor is more important than the other because they go hand in hand in the spread of cultural understanding. When people use streaming services like Spotify and they come across a playlist of music from different cultures, they can listen to it but not feel any type of empathy or connection and this would help with the spread of cultural understanding. But, if someone has a strong empathetic response to a culturally different sound they found on a streaming platform then this would help with the spread of cultural understanding. This is the same in vice versa as well. If someone does not have access to music from other cultures then they cannot experience the empathetic response to the music of other cultures. Therefore both empathy and streaming work hand in hand.

Sincerely,

The Fans of Cultural Understanding
