Streaming + Music = Cultural Understanding

I think streaming and platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, and SoundCloud have the most influence on the spread of cultural understanding in music. If it weren’t for streaming platforms, there would be limited access to music from other cultures across the globe. Streaming makes music from around the world more readily available and can be recommended for its users through various playlists. They bring attention to songs that are popular in other countries, allowing more people discover and enjoy the music. Once people discover and enjoy it, they will become more curious about the culture of the artists behind the song and/or become more interested in other types of music from even more cultures.
